It is time once again to plan for the opening of our dear Church of the Atonement for another season. Please note the dates on the enclosed list chose at least two weekends you would be willing to help. A third would be welcome to provide flexibility, particularly as our season now goes well into September.
Please also include any flower memorial information that you are planning on giving or preparing. (In addition to any already returned on the form in Dorothy's
letter). Helen at Flora will again be providing flowers unless you wish to arrange your own. Helen must be called two weeks in advance with special flower requests, or to notify her you are arranging them for a given week. Her number is 854-9760. Flower cost is $50.00; perhaps more for specific requests.
The scheduled time to open the church and prepare for the first weekend is 4:00p.m. on Thursday, May 26. Please bring any items you have stored for the winter at that time. In particular bring any linens you may have taken for laundering that were not returned at the end of last season.
We are also proposing two times that we could gather for a mini review, time to ask questions, and to socialize. Please also note if you would be interested in coming on Friday, June 17 at 4:00 p.m. (wine and cheese following) or on Saturday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. Either time would be an opportunity to bring a prospective Altar Guild member to help introduce her to the service we provide.
